Many students complain their left hand is clumsy. Truth: it’s undertrained, not doomed.
Why the myth exists: Most melodies go to the right hand, so the left often plays background patterns. Without equal practice, it feels “weaker.”
How to fix it:
Isolate LH Practice: Spend five minutes daily on left-hand scales or simple tunes.
Play Melodies Left-Handed: Switch easy pieces to the left hand. This rewires coordination.
Use Patterns: Alberti bass, broken chords, and octave jumps strengthen accuracy.
Balance Volume: Record yourself—if LH disappears, practice bringing it forward.
